BRIEF SPECTRUM OF OUR COLLEGE

 The School of Nursing was started in 1913 with lower grade Nursing and Midwifery Courses in Tamil in the Hospital for women and children.  In 1934 Higher grade Nursing for men started.  Higher grade Nursing for men started. Higher grade General Nursing and Midwifery Course was begun in 1951.  Many men and women of nursing background have toiled to nurture this institution to its present status and memorable among them are sisters- Fint, Betty Taylor, Wilson, Raynert, Attwood, Margery Thomas, E.B. Lang, D.S. Hoath, S. Perera, Mr.T.J. Thasiah and Mrs. Kamala Roberts. Our Bishop Rt.Rev.Dr.A. Christopher Asir, has taken special efforts in upgrading the School of Nursing into College of Nursing at the time when he was Diocesan Secretary & Bishop special commissionary or Medical Work. 
 The school was upgraded as a college in 1993 with a new name C.S.I Jeyaraj Annapackiam College of Nursing and Allied Sciences with a generous financial assistance from the Jeyaraj Chelladurai Trust, Madurai. In 2000 College of Nursing was shifted to new building in Pasumalai, the present location.   In 2008, by the effort of our Bishop Rt.Rev.Dr.A. Christopher Asir, the College of Nursing has uplifted  as a Research Centre conducting Ph.D Nursing Programme by the approval of The TN Dr.MGR Medical University .
